Jamie Foxx, Christoph Waltz, DiCaprio, Samuel L. Jackson, Kerry Washington

It is simply impossible to single out one actor from this 160-minute rollercoaster of superb performance. I will be so free to state: this is a homework assignment among the blockbusters of the last decade. What can I say except: Tarantino master!

Who should I mention first from the sea of acting greats whose skills we had the opportunity to enjoy for 2 hours and 45 minutes?

Should we start with C. Waltz, who deserved and received an Oscar, BAFTA, Golden Globe (and 5-6 other awards) for this supporting role of Dr. Shultz, a bounty hunter who kept the protagonist company throughout the plot ? I will join the opinion of the majority, in my opinion this is his best role (masterfully acted like the role of Colonel Landa in ‘Inglorious Basterds’, under the same masterful Tarantino direction).

Or to focus on the protagonist Django, whose role-within-a-role was played by Jamie Foxx, in my opinion (along with Ray Charles) his most impressive leading role, although he did not receive any special recognition for it.

The same comment applies to DiCaprio – among the best supporting roles in which we could see him… An equally ‘cheeky’ performance, comparable to the role of ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’. Definitely among his TOP 5!

The IMDB rating of 8.5 from 1.6 M viewers certainly speaks of what a masterpiece it is.

A sophisticated doctor and bounty hunter intercepts a convoy of slave traders in order to buy Django, one of the slaves who can help him identify the wanted criminals. In exchange for that favor, he gives him his freedom.

Their relationship develops into a friendship, and when Django reveals to him that he plans to find and free his wife from whom he was separated, the doctor decides to help him in his quest.
