Samara Weaving, Judah Lewis, Bella Thorne, Emily Lind, Leslie Bibb, Hanna Mae Lee
Let’s not be discouraged by this young cast. The plot may seem not serious enough, but we will enjoy excellent acting, super-fun ‘twists’, interesting visual effects, while watching the protagonist trying to survive while escaping from group of fanatics.
Plot? The teenager, with a lack of self-confidence, misunderstood by his parents, rejected by school friends, has his (slightly older) babysitter as his only friend, with whom parents are still leaving him when they go on the trip.
One night he decides not to fall asleep right away. Instead, he wants to check what his babysitter is doing with her friends while he sleeps. Well, he had something to see – guys (and girls 🙂) are messing with the devil ! And even bigger trouble came when they noticed him discovering them.
First he didn’t believe his eyes when he saw how cold-blooded they killed a guy just like that, who was brought to party just to be sacrificed. Then he didn’t believe his ears when he heard that they must take the blood of innocent, ie. Him!
So, we have a ‘classic’ group of teenagers in front of us: muscular ‘Alpha’ athlete, an attractive cheerleader, one ‘weirdo’, all of them with some (meaningless) life wishes for which they sold their souls to Satan.
Everything would be much easier (for him) if he just continued pretending to sleep, because cult members literally took few drops of blood from his hand and left, thinking he really sleeps. But after they saw him escaping through the window, fate suddenly changed. The action is on!
